this morning #1499.

this morning, when we packed our remaining possessions into the car & headed into hiding, the hubby had provided me with scant details about why we had to leave. i should’ve demanded more but i didn’t. all he said was that the fire was no accident. they’d found us. he swore it was just a big misunderstanding. for now, for my own protection, the less i know the better. we’ll lay low while our attorney sorts things out. when he gives the “all clear,” we’ll return to civilization. to what we’ll return to i do not know. we don’t have a home. we hadn’t discussed a destination. i’d be fine with leaving that dreadful town behind, finding a new place to live. maybe we can give florida another chance. i’d love to get back my tan.

go back to the beginning.
