this morning, while the rest of us were just trying to eat our breakfasts in peace, he put down his spoon & started reciting his ABCs. loudly but slowly. somewhat unsure of himself. A-B-C-D-E-F-G went off without a hitch but when he got to H, things started going off the rails. there was a long pause. our oldest son tried helping out with a few urging words. distracted, he threw up his hands, let out a sigh. started over. A-B-C-D-E-F-G. he continued. H-I-J-K. his tongue peeked out from his lips as he thought hard. L-M-N-O…P? we nodded in approval. Q? R? yep. X? did you say X or S? he searched for the right answer. S, mom! T-U-V. W. S. did you say S or X? X! XXX!!! Y & Z! we all joined in. now i know my ABCs!
