this morning, the big wheel kept on like…turning & now she was forty. her good friend jay-z once said that “30’s the new 20.” by the power of subtraction, it was like the same for her & this whole forty thing. tonight they would PARTAY like she was THIRTAY. as she laid in her like 7000-thread count sheets, she visualized the day her husband had planned. truth be told, she regretted suggesting that he plan like a “super big surprise.” surprises were sort of his thing, but they often didn’t turn out well. all she wanted was a private helicopter ride over the wildfires. a diamond-encrusted face mask to share on insta. a birthday cake flown in from paris. she ended up with dinner in a private ice cave.
