this morning #1287.
this morning, the lines were much longer than i’d seen in at least a few years. just to be safe, i took off my headphones so i could listen to the din of travelers. a good percentage of them were slowly unraveling as they wove through the security barriers. frequent flyer types certain that their opinions mattered. cranky children flirting with tantrums. hair trigger anxious strangers all corralled into a cramped space. some on edge about what awaits on the other side of their flights. others afraid that an unknown force will stop them from reaching their destination at all. relax, people. we’ll all get there in due time. as for what happens when we arrive, i’d suggest saving your stress until that time.
