this morning #123.

this morning, no matter how many hail marys she uttered, it was clear that she would never be able to bring about world peace. that didn’t stop her from starting off each day by meditating on the “pray for us sinners now” part. the television, replete with sinners, flashed in the background. by her thirtieth hail mary, the sun had begun to shine in through the bay window, cutting through the clouds. it was god’s will. let the sun shine! there was still so much darkness regardless & there had been for all of her fifty years but a beam of god’s light didn’t hurt anything. she just wished that god’s children would stop hurting each other. god knows her prayers weren’t for show.
