this morning, this mutual crush was starting to feel like a bit much. it’s nice & all. don’t get me wrong. i like how she leaves my heart aflutter. eventually though, one of us will have to turn the flirting into something more. if not, the moment to strike may pass us by. it’s been quite some time since i’ve had to make moves like this. as the man, i guess it’s my job to make the first one? that shit’s tricky. there’s always a risk that, if we make things real, things will get real real quick. it’s a roll of the dice. once we decide to become a couple, there’s a chance that the thrill of the chase will fade away. if we haven’t come up with a suitable stand-in for that thrill, we’ll likely end up wishing we’d kept to the flirting.
