this morning #1118.

this morning, i pulled into the parking lot at the exact same time as he did. he came in off of broadway. i was coming from the 17th st side. i’d seen him around the office. we’d nodded to each other when passing in the halls. i tried to stall a little bit before getting out of my car, tried to let him go in first. he seemed to be doing the same thing, fiddling with some object in the passenger seat. fine. i got out first, pulled a cig from my pack as i walked. he exited his car too & hurried to keep pace, caught up & asked if he could bum one. i didn’t want to be rude, so i relented. after thanks there was small talk. after that, he shared that he was into “big chicks.” after that, i vowed to never talk to him again.
