this morning #1117.

this morning, this whole damn country is hungover. that’s just a fact, jack. if it’s not because of one too many poolside beers, it’s due to extreme pride or beef or gunpowder. more than likely, it’s the result of some combo of these forces. now we’re all feeling the comedown. the midweek shock. the return to reality. what a wasted day today will be. diminished productivity all across the land all in the name of honoring the american way. we embraced our “act now, ask questions later” attitude. now we have to pay the price. despite that price, i think it was worth it. as a nation, we’re sort of going through some stuff. it was nice to be able to stash that all away, even if just for a day.
