this morning #1052.

this morning, she whistled & wildly waved me over from clear across the room. apparently, she wanted to introduce me to someone, a man with whom she went to college. “my colleague.” after the initial intro, she kept calling him that instead of just using his name. same with me. it was strange. suddenly, she excused herself & left us there, two of her “colleagues” persuaded into a conversation. i took the bait, asked if he thought she was trying to set us up. i was sure that she was. i’ve been here before. apparently he had too. she fancies herself somewhat of a matchmaker. i looked into his eyes. he clearly felt just as awkward as i did. we decided to see how this lil’ bit of matchmaking played out.
