this morning, the real challenge would be how he would manage to juggle acting brave & acting sane. with his mother-in-law now staying in the guest bedroom for the unforeseeable future, his patience would surely be tested. going back to the earliest days of dating his husband, the old shrew had expressed her disappointment in her son’s choice of partner. it had nothing to do with her son being gay & everything to do with the couple’s difference in age. as a twenty-five year old twink, she was certain he had no place in her son’s successful late-middle-aged life. he was certain they were in love though. no cranky southern belle could take that away.
