this morning, however should i handle the news of this utterly bonkers breakthrough? i got the call an hour ago. they’ve picked up my show! i mean, i never would have envisioned i’d be the type of guy who’d end up in this position. from now on, folks will have to pay attention to me. just the thought of it gives me chills. i can see the headline now: AREA MAN MAKES CAKES. BAKES HIS WAY TO TV FAME. soon everyone will know my name, recognize my face. i’ll use that notoriety to open up a place of my own. not in this town though. no way. screw them. they don’t deserve me. they don’t get to call themselves the home of my soon-to-be-famous black forest cake. i bet they’ll try to though.
