this morning, for once i need you to pay attention to what i’m saying. listen close. listen. to. me. you need to take this all in so you can back me up, my man. when they start asking questions, we need to get our stories straight. ok. these are the details. we were heading downtown. on our way to breakfast. chopping it up about your old lady. minding our own damn business. feeling fine. out of nowhere, these two dudes came up on us. one white. one hispanic. i tried not to panic but it was obvious they were going to rob us. we had to defend ourselves, create space to flee. as they can see, things went sideways. remember. if you say a single thing about how we know those dudes, we’re screwed.
