this morning #999.

this morning, i decided it was finally time to implement my ploy for employment, time to call in that favor my college buddy owes me. the way i see it, all i have to do is ring him up, catch up for like ten minutes and, at some point, slip in a quick mention of my current lack of work, how life’s been rough. if he does take the bait, i may not even have to call in the favor. i’ll keep it in my back pocket. save it for later. if by chance he doesn’t get that it’s finally time to deliver on his senior year promise, i’ll just remind him whose late father got him his first real job, the one that made him the success that he is today. he said he’d do the same for me if he ever could. i hoped that he would.
