this morning #927.

this morning, while i appreciated her feedback, there was no way i was going to squeeze THIS vehicle into THAT space, so i threw in the towel & pulled out to search for another space on another street. she was NOT happy. huffing. puffing. i get it. we’ve been driving all night long. she’s exhausted. she just wants to lay down in our bed. for her, this trip can’t end soon enough. it felt like it was about way more than that though. it felt like she was openly questioning my competency. somehow, i kept my cool as we navigated our pre-dawn parking predicament. an hour later, i found a spot. by this point, she was fast asleep at home. a half hour prior, she’d demanded that i drop her off. i was happy to oblige.
