this morning #91.

this morning, mountain man opened his large eyes wide & discovered that he’d passed out in the forest again. unfortunately, this morning it wasn’t initially apparent exactly which forest he’d nodded off in. the tree canopy barely let any light peek through. stream sounds flowed to his left. dew covered the ground around. he took his phone from his pocket to get his bearings. it had died, so he just started walking in the direction of the water. water always leads to something. as a child, a fight with his father led to wandering so far into the woods behind his house that his adventure became a nightly news story. after roaming for more than a day, a river eventually led him to the highway. that time, he wasn’t super hungover.
