this morning, objectively speaking, perhaps i HAD objectified her more times than was healthy for either of us. for that, i’m super sorry. for real. i just can’t help myself. sue me, society. the men out there know where i’m coming from. she needs to know that she looks fine. she should be comfortable with her body. “shake what your mama made, babe.” you can’t fault me for trying to pay her praise AND help her out all at once. boost her confidence with strategically-placed platitudes. for that, i’m some sort of misogynist, just another misguided male who can’t see a woman beyond her physical beauty. i get it. she’s way more than that. putting that part of her into words was never my forte though.
