this morning #89.

this morning, she woke her ass up at dawn with laps around the above ground pool while the birds of the valley began to sing & spring into action around her. these calming nature sounds were her #1 comfort at her parents’ country getaway cottage. back home, she suffered a constant cacophony of children’s cries as they defiled the playground across the street. kids totally SUCK. at just over seventeen, she was already fully aware of this. her four-year-old brother had perfected the art of the tantrum. on the flight out here, a petulant preschooler in the next row kicked her seat fifty-six times before she lost count. SUCK. one day, a child would change her tune. until then, she’d suck it up & endure their existence.
