this morning #873.
this morning, i was just one of a throng of not-so-patient passengers waiting by the gate for SOME sort of update. DELAY DELAY DELAY. any data at all about our fate would be nice. we were stuck in this state of suspended animation & my mid-40’s bladder was starting to become an issue. i was afraid that, if i got up, i’d lose my seat. if our flight was delayed even further, having a place to sit would be a true necessity. every so often, a gate attendant got on the phone & got our hopes up but if she was getting any info at all, she wasn’t sharing. it was such a tease. eventually, i simply couldn’t take it any more & when i returned, i got comfortable on the airport floor.
