this morning #852.

this morning, while walking my son to school, running rather late, we came across a very tanned man leaning on the roll down gate in front of the now-closed bakery. he was heavily eyeing every single person who passed him by. i really didn’t want to make eye contact but, as we approached him, i lost focus & caught his gaze out of the corner of my eye. i was rewarded with a sharp “spare change?” i tried to keep going but he followed up with a “how about you?” directed towards my boy. the nerve of this guy! asking an eight-year old for money. if we hadn’t been running so late, i’d hate to think what i would’ve done to him. i would’ve taught both he & my son an important lesson in boundaries.
