this morning #85.
this morning, the american flag flew high on the hill behind his humble rural home. the presbyterian church atop it must not have got word about the tragedy & the accompanying flag order. perhaps he should go up there & tell someone? from his patio he couldn’t see a single car in the lot at this early hour. minister roberts would eventually have to show up for service though. he’d walk up the hill & make sure the good man was aware of the tragedy, remind him that half-mast flags meant full-bodied respect. respect for the loss of probably-innocent lives. respect for our red-blooded american values. respect for full-throated mourning. respect for respect.
