this morning #745.

this morning, and pretty much every morning for that matter, i took an irrational amount of care in selecting the first song of my day. i felt it was super important to set the tone for the road ahead. sometimes, energy is necessary. other situations call for a mood-lifting tune. this moment required something that’d make me man up & open up to her about how i really feel. frayed nerves be damned. she needed to know that i was growing dangerously tired of waiting around for her to decide if what we have here is love. i knew what we had was what i was looking for & i was certain the same went for her. to help work up the courage, i went with “lovely day.” bill withers knows what’s up.
