this morning #722.

this morning, under the boardwalk down by the sea, she scanned her surroundings & smiled, saw she’d created quite the encampment. of course, she couldn’t take all the credit. sure, she’d suggested the spot but it took a team of ten to make it so. they’d set up in early may in a way that let them stay mostly out of sight. mostly protected from the elements. mostly immune to intimidation from mostly-harmless cops. this part of the beach had been closed to the public for years now, allowing them to avoid public scrutiny. in this beachfront community, if some folks found out, they’d feel taken advantage of. it wouldn’t even matter that it was by someone living in a tent under the boardwalk.
