this morning, he was resigned to the fact that today would be the day that he submitted his resignation. nobody had called for it but it was definitely called for. those around him had gotten greedy & he wanted no part of it. so far, he’d avoided having to do anything illegal but it was obvious that they were going to ask him to any day now. when it came to making tons of money, the numbers guy was always involved somehow. he’d rather be considered a witness than a suspect. it was a rather shortsighted plan though. two weeks from now, investigators would come knocking & his sudden resignation gave them plenty of reasons to suspect he was involved.
