this morning, the answer she gave her friend was totally blowin’ in the wind. truth be told, she was fresh out of answers & making one up just seemed like the easiest way out. given how long it took her friend to respond, it was clear that her answer was not really an answer at all. in fact, it led to more questions that would require more answers that would lead to even more questions. she needed to break the cycle so she decided to derail the conversation by breaking down, forcing her friend to put their dispute aside for a moment & focus on comforting her. unfortunately, the relief was only temporary & wouldn’t relieve her of her responsibility to eventually get specific & get real.
