this morning, there were somehow still a bounty of blossoms on her balcony, so she grabbed some green paint & went outside to validate her achievement with a series of flower photos featuring her paint-covered thumbs-up in the foreground. the internet went crazy for her pics, with their mix of vibrant & verdant colors and literal green thumb. her instagram handle “offthedaisychain” had become well known among both florists & lay people. that felt satisfying & all but it was her talent for helping plants flourish, her craving for creating & caring for life that really mattered. her online presence just didn’t require the same type of attention or provide the same type of joy.
