this morning #489.

this morning, through the crack in her windshield, she watched as the third shift slowly made their way out of the building. a steady stream of distinctly drained wage slaves clearly in need of a bed. in just over eight hours, she’d be sporting the same look, body burnt out, looking forward to being at home, cuddling with her pups on the couch. over the past few weeks, the autumn air had started to creep in & as it did, all she wanted to do was stay inside & stay warm. this daily diversion to work at the warehouse now made up the majority of her time away from home. all the energy she put into stocking shelves during the day had left her with no energy to take stock of her life at night.
