this morning #487.
this morning, it was all “rise & shine” & the shine in his smirk showed he was fully aware that his day to rise up had finally come. there was no more space for the bullshit patriarchy. it was time to topple tyranny. he’d seen one too many manly men make mistakes at the expense of the women in his life. up until the day she passed, his mom had been stuck in the same job, passed up for promotions. his sister was knee-deep in a grievance stemming from multiple forms of discrimination. now his daughter had come back home scared after a string of sexual assaults on her college campus. today was the day for him to step up on their behalf & set things straight. he was determined to be a man.
