this morning, one of her friends texted her & was all “did you know that august means ‘impressive?’” she googled it. it was true. it meant that & it also meant a whole lot of other things, like synonyms & stuff. glorious. monumental. grand. brilliant. resplendent? sure. why not? she wanted this august to be all of those things. among the synonyms, one didn’t sit well with her. "POMPOUS.” it was ok to do it for the ‘gram but being pompous about it was the first step on the path to falling out of favor with friends. she’d learned that the hard way a few times before. this time, she’d do things different. she’d make her august super august without taking things too far.
