this morning #410.
this morning, the fluttering butterflies in her stomach beat their wings in a way that made her want to rush to the bathroom & banish them to the toilet bowl. she once had a drama teacher who told her “if you find yourself with butterflies in your stomach, open your mouth & let something beautiful fly out.” that same teacher turned out to be doing a lot of LSD though, so she took that advice with a grain of salt. still, she had to calm her nerves. so what if she hadn’t gone on a job interview or, for that matter, held a job in almost twenty-five years? with the kids all out of the house, she was looking for a new purpose. as long as she remained her charming self, this job could be that purpose.
