this morning #393.

this morning, it was hard to say if they were going to make it to the church on time. modern love often didn’t seem all that modern. their friends’ wedding today was being held in a church with ornate stained glass windows featuring possibly fictional characters & cavernous ceilings & latin phrases that maybe 1% of the audience understood. nothing about the ceremony screamed “2021.” they weren’t sure if they even believed in marriage but if they ever got to that point, the vows would be exchanged far away from the eyes of the lord. a backyard. a rocky cliff. at comic con. those were the spots to get married at in 2021. churches are only acceptable if they’re abandoned & graffiti-covered.
