this morning #366.
this morning, with a full rotation around the sun complete, he was in a rather reflective mood. if he was using the malcolm gladwell “10,000 hours = genius” theory to gauge the progress of his latest undertaking, he wasn’t even close to being a genius. luckily, he’d never cared about what that frizzy-haired “writer” had to say. by his calculations, at two hours a day, it would take him more than thirteen years to become a genius. though he was consistent, he was only a few hundred hours into his journey. still, he felt a sense of achievement, a sense of growth. every evening, when he sat down to get to work, he finally believed in what he was doing. genius could come later.
