this morning #332.

this morning, hunger held her hazy but the growing buzzing out front of her old kentucky home was giving the rumbling in her stomach some competition. she’d seen a news piece on youtube that warned this day would come but she treated it like a school shooting, something you always hear about but never think will happen to you. now she knew it was true. a brood of cicadas had taken over the sky, casting shadows on the little plot of unmown grass between her & her car. if she was to procure her chicken, egg & cheese bagel, fruit cup & diet lemonade, she would have to pass them. before she could do that, she would have to go back on youtube & see if they stung.
