this morning #252.
this morning, for a brief moment she was stuck suspended in a dream, a hazy vision of standing on the water’s edge with the ocean rising & falling with every breath. down the beach, a man raised a pistol in the air & squeezed the trigger, letting loose a line of men who set off in a sprint in her direction. as she stood there frozen, marveling at their speed, she felt a tap on her shoulder & turned to see her girlfriend standing there in their living room, holding out a single sunflower for her. by the time she reached for it, it had become a toilet plunger. she took it anyway & headed off to the bathroom to clear things up. before she knew it, water rushed out at her, snapping her out of her sleep.
