this morning, psychology was the hollow she had buried herself in to try to understand her husband’s shifting moods. there had to be some deeper meaning behind the way that he would alternately treat her like a visitor in their home & a visitor who had overstayed her welcome. simply picking his brain for clues wouldn’t suffice to get to the root of his whims. it most likely stemmed from the way that his father treated his mother up until she up & left him. if he was planning on becoming his father, she might just have to respond by becoming her mother. unfortunately, that meant that the man she’d been married to for a decade would one day “accidentally” meet his maker.
