this morning #2309.

this morning, we were officially moved in. it felt nice. comforting that, after all the crap we had to go through to get here, it was finally ours. new home. new town. it didn’t have that lived-in feeling yet but that’ll come soon enough. until i find a job, i’ll have plenty of free time to make that homeyness a reality. that’s my focus for now. in the time between when we found this house & when we made it ours, i’ve been amassing a long list of upgrades that i want to make. merge & arrange our book collections. pepper the yard with fall plants. peruse those quaint downtown markets for kitschy art to decorate the place. talk the hubby into getting a cat. first on the list though—get that sweet back porch & fire pit ready for guests. if we make friends here, we need to be prepared.
