this morning, the absence had devolved into absolute madness. i was pacing back & forth across the floor. scraping my heels across the void. hoping to find something worthwhile waiting for me on the other side. sorry. i don’t mean to sound dramatic but that’s the way it feels. my beating heart ripped out of my chest. i guess you know how it is given what you went through a couple years back. can’t imagine that it was this painful for you though. this jarring. right? it seemed like you handled it relatively well when they put your husband away. this is my son though. y’know? came from my womb. he told me point blank that he didn’t even do the things they say he did but they still took him away from me. injustice. it’s just…i guess i need to find a way to fill that space.
