this morning, when he pulled off his sunglasses & revealed the strikingly light blue eyes hiding behind them, he did so with a knowing grin. grinned knowing that no one, male or female alike, was able to ignore his crystal ice eyes. most of the time, they worked in his favor. an arresting anomaly. a not-so-secret weapon & a solid shield that helped him hide what truly lied behind those eyes. this morning, when he pulled off his sunglasses, he did so intending to soften up the woman who was manning the gate for the man he was actually hoping to win over. she saw right through his charm offensive. wasn’t offended but told him to take a seat with a sharp smirk. left him shaken in a way that instantly threw him off his game.
