this morning #217.

this morning, she was in the room where it happened at the height of her paranoia. at the moment, there were five cops surrounding her, one of whom was introducing her to handcuffs & one of whom was reading her her miranda rights. it was really just a blur of words but she was already adhering to the first part of them & had moved on to considering how one would even get an attorney. a head nod signified that she understood these rights and, until she figured out how to get a lawyer, she wasn’t about to say another word. even if she’d wanted to, she couldn’t. the delusions had stripped her of her elocution. it had happened just after the stabbing.
