this morning, the tables turned & she immediately learned what it felt like to be the one with all the power. adrenaline rush. all hail your new queen. the instinct to instantly abuse her authority came on strong but, given all her experience being on the other end of the dynamic, she chose to hold off. believed it’d be wiser to see how things played out first as opposed to immediately enacting revenge on those who’d supposedly wronged her. that’s how cowards tend to act. the second that they’re on top, they set the ladder on fire & kick it down onto the people below. scorch the earth. an eye for an eye. not her style. she’d seen too way much of that. hoped that she could forge a different path.
