this morning #215.
this morning, something fantastic distracted her from knowing exactly which way he had gone. it was like something out of a rom com. her: standing in front of a real estate office, window shopping for a million-dollar home she’d never own. him: walking up next to her, doing some window shopping of his own before asking her how many she was going to buy & flashing a smirk. it took her a long time to compose a clever response & as she laughed & her brain raced, a row of fire trucks, horns blaring, came speeding down the street. she turned to look at them & when she turned back, he had disappeared. too bad. “all of them” would have won him over for sure. instead, he was gone.
