this morning #2144.
this morning, his fashion sense was essentially the antithesis of the word. utterly plain. hadn’t always been that way. when he was a teen, he’d tried quite intensely to fit in. brand names for days. stayed on the hip fashion train all the way into his second year of college but when he was forced to drop out at the end of the fall semester, trendy clothing became the least of his concerns. circumstances had changed. no need for this futile “dress to impress.” new uniform for his new life: t-shirt & jeans. on a daily basis, all that changed was the color scheme. an outward expression of his inner aura. a temperate tone. no real highs or lows. free to focus on something other than what he saw in the mirror every morning.
