this morning #2093.

this morning, just before dawn, i walked down the hall & into the kitchen. instantly noticed that the motion detector light in the backyard was on. i quickly shut off the kitchen light to obscure my presence & went over to the door to the back patio to find out what’d tripped the sensor. peered out through the glass. at first, i didn’t see any activity. out of nowhere, a deer came bounding into frame. rocketed across the lawn & off into the forest. then there was a second & a third & a half-dozen more. followed soon thereafter by a few flocks of chirping birds. like out of the bible. one of those stories containing a plague. exodus, no less. just when i thought the show was over, along came an army of frogs. a little TOO spot on.
