this morning #2031.

this morning, there was a rather emphatic man on the airwaves handing out wisdom. his form of wisdom, that is. his address went on for quite a while but, in short, he was telling us “i’m the answer to all your problems.” was doing so in a moving manner. forceful. talking the talk. throwing in a good joke or two here & there for good measure. if he can’t fix everything, who can? no one. some might be inclined to believe these lofty promises. hope for an easy, speedy remedy. ready to step back & let someone else lead the way. not me though. i’m way more skeptical of men who beg for your attention. my father taught me at a very early age that saviors don’t have to work to convince you that that’s what they are.
