this morning #1989.

this morning, through bleary eyes, she tried to make out the words she’d written down on a bar napkin last night. four blurry words. she recalled it being super important at the time but for the life of her couldn’t tell what it said or why she’d cared so much last night. all she knew was that it was something that that cute tall guy had said during their marathon back & forth just before closing time. a movie title? a book? a band? likely one of these. they had been engaged in quite a lot of pop culture talk. she put the napkin aside for now. staring at it clearly wasn’t going to provide any clarity. not now, at least. her mind needed time to reset. have some tea & a bite to eat. maybe it’ll come to her then.
