this morning #1981.

this morning, given that we’re clearly living in the age of unchecked rage, i made a pact with my partner. if either of us ever falls victim to violence at the hands of some random, the other one will enact total revenge on the perpetrator. no excuse. i’ve been a pacifist for most of my life. so has she. my last fight was back in high school & it was mostly just me getting smacked around. if i have to get physical though, i will. gun or none. it’s a sad state of affairs that it’s come to this. we used to know who we had to be wary of. times have changed. now everyone’s volatile. living on edge. stirred up just beneath the surface. waiting to spring into action whether or not it’s rational. hoping that we won’t have to.
