this morning, in order to help you all understand why there’s been a last-minute cancellation of tomorrow’s event, i’ll share what little i know. first off, none of this is your fault. let me make that perfectly clear. i know that for the past year you’ve worked your butts off to make this gala a reality. sadly though, the situation has changed. it’s nobody’s fault & as good as it may feel to do so, this isn’t about placing blame. it’s actually a security issue. please don’t panic. i received a cryptic call last night. at present, i can’t elaborate but i’ve alerted the authorities & they’re on the case. for safety’s sake, they’ve asked that we not gather hundreds of folks in one place. that’s all i can say. i pray that we can reschedule for a later day.
