this morning, it was clear that spooky season was upon us. like a plague. everywhere i went i was forced to contend with a barrage of pumpkins & skeletons & animatronic horror flick characters. “decorations” covering almost every single home. cobwebs & tombstones & flapping bats. thank jebus that we only have two more weeks left of this foolishness. EEK IS ME. your home has a giant spider with glowing red eyes hiding in the bushes just outside your front door? please. i’m soooooo scared. you know what scares me? the rise of right-wing nationalists. tell you what. replace your silly spider with a beady-eye babbling stephen miller mannequin. if more people did stuff like that, maybe i could take spooky season seriously.
