this morning #1888.

this morning, we all had a hearty laugh at pat’s expense. all of us except for him, of course. looking back, the way we acted was a mistake. piling on like that was a crass lapse in judgment. so what if he still believes that he has a shot with molly? i can see that she’s way out of his league. we all can. he’s from rural ohio. she’s high-class. that doesn’t mean we have to mock his dreams though. trample on his heart. i enjoy good-natured ribbing between friends as much as the next guy but you need to know where to draw the line sometimes. i decided to own up to my error. sent him a text. apologized. didn’t hear back from him all day. hoped that we hadn’t done too much damage. went to bed hoping he was ok.
