this morning #1882.

this morning, while the city slept, she safely pulled herself up onto the fire escape. crept up to the top floor & slowly lowered herself down onto the roof of an adjacent building. she’d been scouting this location for weeks. more scouting than needed but to her it seemed key. if she’d done this sort of thing before, maybe she wouldn’t have to be so sure. she’d arrived undetected. high above the street. finally got to see her canvas up close. ran her hand along the white, concrete wall. rougher than expected but it’d do. for the next two hours, she waved cans of buzzing colors back & forth. created an abstract scene & then slid back down to the street. got home before the sun rose. wondered when folks would start to notice.
