this morning, it had been a while. while she’d tried & tried to deny the myriad ways she’d tried & failed, ultimately that task got her nowhere. something had gone wrong in her approach to reality. for all she knew, everyone at the office liked her & appreciated her hard work. so why had they cut her loose? could it be because of the way she’d handled the harassment? probably. in an attempt to forge her own destiny, she had come on a bit strong on multiple occasions. it was all ultimately inappropriate. handsy, even. it didn’t seem like an issue at the time but apparently she was inherently wrong. her longing for physical contact had doomed her all along.
